Would you ask them questions about what they use today to accomplish X...and then ask what they see as strengths and weaknesses of that product? And then, perhaps, ask if a new product was on the market that offered them some new/additional benefits, if they would switch to that product if it were priced +/- $ of their current product?

Survey research can be used by comparing the Nike brand with other brand and designing a relevant questionnaire which will capture the responses to our research problem. By gathering the data through surveys of people we can understand the demand for the Nike product concept. A questionnaire or survey can be floated to customers, consumers at a shopping mall or through different social media platforms. The observational research will help us in analyzing the demand when one person will observe the flow of customers and note the activities of customers to understand their perspective on the product and hence determining the demand for the product. For marketing the Nike product it is necessary to keep in mind the estimated demand for the product. The pricing of the product will depend on the target customer it will be focusing on. Pricing it accordingly so as to generate more and more demand for the product is essential. Promotions for Nike product can happen at sports facilities, shopping malls, and digital media. Maximum people can be reached over the digital media making the promotional activities for the product more cost effective. Promotional offers could also be floated so as to attract the new customers to try out the product. These are some of the ways in which I believe Nike can strategize its marketing.

Surveying is one of the most important part of any organisation to understand customer preferences as well as to modify there services according to such a specific result of specific survey. Surveying also provide extensive availability of opportunities for an organisation to focus on the target market preferences as well as to look for review of a specific product that is implemented in the market for improving the services or the product being offered to the customers.

For the specific case, learning about the preferences regarding Nike product would be totally based on creating a questionnaire or creating a social media survey which could reach last number of people. This type of approach would enable the organisation to maintain better quality of a standards in taking the survey as availability of multi factor analytical survey method would enable it capability of reaching desired customer base. It would not only improve the availability of options for the organisation but also helps them to maintain high quality standard in Operation by learning from the specific results of the survey regarding the specific product.

Implementation of the pricing and determination of the prices should be solar based on competitive analysis of a product.
