The organization we will be studying is Advanced Technology Services (ATS). They are an outsourced maintenance company who provides world-class maintenance to various manufacturing plants. They believe they make factories run better by providing a proactive approach to maintenance, reducing the reactive downtime in the facilities. For this paper, we will be looking at one of their sites and determining if their strategy has improved the equipment downtime by implementing proactive maintenance solution. We will get the data from there Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS). We will organize the data into two different categories, first will be qualitative measuring the number of reactive work orders compared to proactive work orders over the past year and our quantitative measure will determine whether the quality of their preventative maintenance plan is resulting in lowering machine downtime. This information will enable us to a have a clear picture if ATS is having a positive impact on how the machine are running.

Thus we are looking into it to get the data from the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) from where we will look at the quantitative0 measuring and also the qualitative measuring of the data to look into and assess whether the quality of their preventative maintenance plan is resulting in lowering machine downtime. So the below are the recommendations:

a) We have to identify certain criteria through which we will collect and organize the data into two different categories, so that each operation for qualitative and quantitative has appropriate data for their operations and study.

b) The implementation of proactive maintenance solution should reduce the reactive downtime in the facilities. We will have to identify the metrics from our studies of the qualitative measuring and the quantitative measure, that how will they determine the effective work of the proactive maintenance solution.

c) The same data should be categorized into qualitative measure and qualitative measure to get a clear picture which maybe different if the data is different.
