Question
Hello can anyone answer this for me asap? Forbes published an article on the "3 Secrets of Amazon's Success Anyone Can Emulate." It notes that Jeff Bezos revealed key tenets of his plan to take over the world in 1997, when he penned his first letter to shareholders. Reading through the author comes to 3 conclusions: (1) Bezos has always pushed Amazon to be cheaper and better than the competition. (2) the fundamental measure of success will be the shareholder value created in the long term, and (3) maintaining a high standard when it comes to the caliber of people it recruits. The article sums it up by stating adding unique value, prioritizing long-term impact over short-term when making decisions, and carefully curate the caliber of people they associate with. Do you think Amazon's business model can be applied to the business to business goods?
Explanation / Answer
I personally believe that Amazon's business model can be applied to business to business goods because it has all the required resources to accommodate a business to business culture or plan. Amazon already has been a very successful organization by having the Business to client or customer model that has helped the organization have a brand value which is very huge today and I believe that the organization can use this image to formulate a business to business sector as well, which can be like a subsidiary to the existing one.
The core competencies that the organization possess would be enough for the organization in this context and will assist the organization in achieving success in the future business plans they are planning to start as well. At present they have vendors who provide the products to the customers and they can continue to do that by merging with vendors who are capable enough to provide the required products or services to other organizations. Amazon has always tried to achieve a competitive advantage over its competitors and that has helped the organization achieve better heights.
