1. Six reasons to praise a banana's packaging:

Banana is america's thord most popular fruit after berries and apple in terms of sales, and as marketer when considered as a product, it seems a product with perfect packaging. There are six reasons to consider banana packaging as a perfect packaging example:

a. Easy - Packaging of banana defines the structure of the product and in one view consumer can get, how to tear apart the packaging. and the way to open a banana is very easy.

b. Consumerd only when it's ripe - Packaging is the protector of the product untill it get consumed, In that way the banana packaging always show the time also when it turn from green to yello till it zenith.

c.Category defining - Packaging is something, which should define a category as we can see in chips packaging or shampoo's tetra pack. In the same way banana define its own category of fruit.

d. Protector interior - Every banana is protected under its skin (packaging), which will make it fresh and preserbed till the time it get consumed.

e. Consumed straight from packaging - Banana can directly be consumed by the consumer after peeling it, There is not ither efforts are required for eating a banana.

f. Biodegradable- Banan leaves nothing which can harm the enviroment, its packaging is totally biodegradable. Which make it a perfect product that is enviroment friendly too.

3. Product life cycles includes five stages from launch to decline in the sale. Initially a product will be launched and many activities will be planned for the growth in sales of the product. Due to these activities product will reach in Growth phase, where the sales will keep on increasing. And after many efforts it will reach to the Maturity stage, which is the highest point of a product in the product life cycle. Maturity stage is followed by the saturation where the outcomes or revenue generated by the product become constant and at the end Decline stage will come when the sales start to decrease.

From 5 tips to extend the product life cycle, below are the two approaches that could be used to extend the product life cycle of bananas and increase sales.

a. Constantly innovate and improve your product and services- To continue the growth of a product, it is necessary to make few innovation in the offering of the product. As Banana is a fruit, let first consider it as a product and the innovation in offering we can do like budling this with some complimentary product which will motivate consumer to consume the banana with higher frequency. Eg: Milk could be an example which can be bundled with banana.

b. Explore new markets in Niches- When a market reaches a stage of saturation, at that time product should start penetrating in the new markets and deliver their product where it is not getting consumed.
