The United States and Canada provide similar antidiscrimination protections, although differences do exist. For example, Canadian laws extend to protect employees based on political beliefs and membership in organizations. The United States does not provide these protections for its employees except for membership in a union. Another difference is that the United States offers more extensive provisions to accommodate people with disabilities in employment, which is not as pervasive throughout Canadian jurisdictions.

1. Job discriminiation is treating one person less favourable based on age, religion, civil status, family status, disability, race etc.
2. As employees spend their majority of time at workplace, discrimination can cause them stress, and sometimes can take a mental toll on their body.
3. Incorporating antidiscrimination law reduces complains of discrimination and harassments, contributes to create productive and fair workplace.
4. It can also help in retaining staff and reduce costs associated with training and recruitment.
5. In U.S disability discrimination also applies for religious purposes, for example employers are required to make accomodations to the religious needs of its employees whereas, in Canada it has the duty to its origins in religious discrimination, but now it extends to all the prohibited grounds of workplace discrimination.

4. Barrier free infrastructure : Providing physical infrastructure easily accessible for disabled employees, like - railings, ramps, signages, accessibility within buildings and restrooms etc.
5. Organization should put more emphasis on valuing person's abilities instead of limitations.
