Q1) I agree with Szaky that organizations can be profitable while making a positive impact on the environment and society.

1. Firms can work towards providing products with greener packaging and ensuring the operations follow the environmental regulations while reducing emissions thus avoiding the fines from regulatory agencies while creating a goodwill in the minds of consumers and public which will turn into sales for the firm.

2. Firms can give back to community by donating funds to non-profit organizations, developing and implementing initiatives towards community development etc. which will enhance the brand image of the firm among all its stakeholders.

Q2) It is difficult to envision a world that doesn't produce waste but it is possible to ensure near zero waste through the below initiatives -

1. Recycling of industrial wastes by finding their usage in various other places.

2. Increasing the efficiency of operations and producing more output while reducing waste.

3. Converting solid and liquid wastes into gas and using them as fuels

4. Implementing green manufacturing practices.
