Question 3: The greatest of all Chinese law givers, Confucius, did not esteem written laws. He believed that good rulers were the best guarantee of justice. 1. Our legal system primarily relies on the rule of law for the benefit of people and in order to maintain harmony in the society. I Instinctively trust rule of law more than the rule of people because rule of law takes into consideration all the ethical matter but the rule of people stand a chance to make a wrong decision out of personal grudges and jealousy which is unethical and may cause harm to the society.
