Progressive discipline is the methodology used to deal with job related behaviors and attributes which are not within the job scope and description and do not meet the prescribed performance level. Progressive discipline aims at guiding the employee about the attributes of his job and to identify where his performance is lagging. This is usually the last resort for managers to guide the employee to improve his performance.
