Explanation / Answer
1. Quoting an example from the Indian context, the provident funds department has been hghly ineffective. The policies that have been outlined by the government agencies, and the technology systems account for dissatisfied customers. The organisation does have bureaucracy penetrated even within the fucntions like customer support and welfare. The services offered by an unresponsive organisation are often slacked and not very satisfactory that involve multiple visits to the office/ multiple followups.
2. The following are the examples of strategic alliances:
a. Ford and Eddie Bauer: Te product offerings from both the brands are complementary to each other. Ford manufactures cars, and Eddie Bauer offers premium leather seats. The alliance is highly effective, and the goal is the growth and further strengthening the offerings of the brand.
b.Spotify & Uber: The product offerings are mutually exclusive from the two brands. The alliance offers penetration and exposure to the two exclusive consumer bases and expand the business. This offers the capability to enhance the service offering from Uber, along with expansing the customer base.
c. Starbuck and Barnes & Nobles: This strategic alliance has complemented the offerings of one another and enabled sustainibility of their businesses.
3. Recruitment of employees can be effected through guerilla approach by reaching out the market through online channels like job postings on LinkedIn.
