1)Without top management leadership quality will not improve because the top management has to set an example. Top management has to implement the quality initiative.
2)Leaders have to confront the situation.They have to be neutral and fair.
Differences between people should be respected. The most effective way is to deal with conflict immediately before it escalates into a bigger issue.There should encourage dialogue between the conflicting parties.
3)Internal failure costs are those which are incurred before a product is delivered to a customer, such as
cost of a scrapping or reworking the product. External failure costs occur after the defective product has reached the customer such as attending to customer complaints and warranty costs.External costs are slightly more important because they can lead to a loss in sales.
4)Core competency refers to those activities in which an organization is better than its competitors.
It provides a competitive advantage to an organization . Quality can be considered a core competence because an organization can produce higher quality products at a competitive price , this will increase their sales and profits.
