Explanation / Answer

Th possible paths and their corresponding durations as follows :

A-C-F = 1 + 9 + 2 = 12 weeks

A-B-E-F = 1 + 3 + 5 + 2 = 11 weeks

Out of above , AC-C-F has the longest duration and therefore is the CRITICAL PATH.

Since, the total project completion time is same as duration of the critical path , the project completion time will be 12 weeks

It is to be noted that Slack time for all activities lying on the critical path will be ZERO

Therefore, slack time for activities A/C/F will be ZERO

Slack time for activity B as well as E

= Duration A-C-F – Duration A-B-E-F

= 12 – 11 weeks

= 1 week
