Homeland Security and Weapons of Mass Destruction

Weapons of mass destruction are the greatest threat to the safety and security of public and the Americans still has this fear in them .There are three types of weapons for mass destruction that are:-

* Biological weapon of mass destruction- The types of biological weapons include bacterialwhich is plague, Qfever etc. viruses include small pox, toxins, avians influenza, hepatitis etc. This type of weapon is most harmful and hazardoes and easy to make.The first use of this weapon was used in United states in the year 1763 when the blankets with smallpox was planned to be distributed.

* Chemical weapon of mass destruction- The types of chemical weapons include vomitiing agaents, tear gas, nerves agent, blood agents, choking agents, etc. This weapon work by either consumption or by in contact with the skin.

* Nuclear weapons of mass destruction- This weapon is a most greatest threat to people among the other two weapons. There are some ways to get a nuclear weapon that are combining radiological material with conventional explosive device , nuclear facilities and smuggling into the US etc. Accoring to the research there are 29 countries suspected to have a nuclear weapon which is the most hazardous weapon to people's life.

These types of weapons are called a weapon of mass destruction because they can kill large number of peolple and greatly damage the infrastructure of a company and the region.

There are mumber of harmful effects of using the hazardoes weapons are primarily due to air blast, thermal radiation , nuclear radiation etc. A single nuclear explosions generate a significant amount o thermal radiations that can burn skin over large areas. The nuclear explosions produc air blast which directly injure human and effect their eardrums, or any body part.The radiation generate large amount of gamma and neutron radiation.

These weapons of mass destructions that are biological. chemical and nuclear were used at world war II to the great extent and the hazardous radiations o these weapons took lives of several people.

The Department of Homeland securities works to provide security to the Unites States. The department works are mainintaing cyber security, immdiate response to natural and manmade disasters and providing a immediate emergency, custom, borders and anti terrorism work etc.
