Explanation / Answer

Answer-1 Managers have to make reporting on a daily basis to the higher management. For this they have to prepare reports by using the internet and also by using web technology. That is why basics of internet should be clear to them.

Answer-2 Packet switching is a digital networking communications method that groups all transmitted data into suitably sized blocks, called packets, which are transmitted via a medium that may be shared by multiple simultaneous communication sessions.Internet also works on the same principle. So both are similar in this way.

Answer-3 OSI model is a specification of network layers and TCP/IP is a protocol suit which gives a set of available protocols to be used in each layer which is defined in OSI.

TCP/IP (Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol) is the basic communication language or protocol of the Internet. It can also be used as a communications protocol in a private network (either an intranet or an extranet). When you are set up with direct access to the Internet, your computer is provided with a copy of the TCP/IP program just as every other computer that you may send messages to or get information from also has a copy of TCP/IP.

Answer-4 HTTP is the underlying protocol used by the World Wide Web. HTTP defines how messages are formatted and transmitted, and what actions Web servers and browsers should take in response to various commands.

Hypertext Markup Language, a standardized system for tagging text files to achieve font, colour, graphic, and hyperlink effects on World Wide Web pages.

Answer-5 A web browser (commonly referred to as abrowser) is a software application for retrieving, presenting, and traversing information resources on the World WideWeb. An information resource is identified by a Uniform Resource Identifier (URI/URL) and may be a web page, image, video or other piece of content.

Answer-6 A network host is a computer or other device connected to a computer network. A network host may offer information resources, services, and applications to users or other nodes on the network. A network host is a network node that is assigned a network layer host address.

Answer-7 It is the practice of using a network of remote servers hosted on the Internet to store, manage, and process data, rather than a local server or a personal computer.
