Question
The questions I asked to the hiring manager and his answers are as below.
1.How many candidates you interview per month?
A: “It depends upon the resource requirement and number of applicants for the positions. “
2. What are the key areas you recruit for the company?
A: “I recruit for all the positions in our New Jersey office and the main positions include software engineers, service desk executives, operations managers and project managers”.
3. Do you have any memorable experience in your career?
A: “I have many good and bad experiences while interviewing the candidates. I meet different candidates with different attitudes and skills. Some of them are extremely talented and serious about the career while some are least concerned about the future. I have very good experience last month when I interviewed a candidate for the project manager position. He is so talented that I believe he will reach the top management position in few years. The managerial and interpersonal skills possessed by the candidate were really great. He answered all of my questions with great confidence and he possess own opinion about any subject. It is really a pleasure interviewing such candidates.”
4. Is there any bad experience?
A: “There is lot of bad experience also. I do not like candidates coming for interview informally dressed and the main thing that frustrates me is the candidate attending phone calls during the interview process. One day a candidate came for interview for service desk position, wearing informal dress. I tolerated that thinking he may be good in his work. But when the interview started I understood that he does not have the basic idea or skills about work and meanwhile he started answering his phone calls. I sent him back but my entire mood was spoiled.
5. Will you allow candidates in informal dress again?
A: ”No, I will not allow any more candidates who dress up informally for interviews. The candidates should take the interview process seriously as it is going to decide their future and should dress up accordingly. Informal dressing is a sign of neglect from the candidate and such behavior cannot be entertained in work life.”
What interview types did this person describe? For example, consider the screening, the selection, the group, the competitive, the panel, or the stress interview types.

Explanation / Answer
Since the main focus is on the dressing type of the person, so its a kind of panel interview. In panel interview, interviewers are from different backgrounds and ther are selected to form a panel. These are more of structured and formal interview process.Along with knowledge, body language of the candidate is also focussed upon.
While in case of any other interview process, main focus is on what the candidate speaks, and what quality he possess rather than the kind of cloth he is wearing. Its just dress should be decent, rather than only formal dress
