Merchandise breadth is the variety of product lines a store offers to the customers. Whereas merchandise depth is the number of styles or types a product may have.
The two strategies used by marketers to sell their products are push and pull. Push strategy is when the company tries to push or promote their products to the customers and Pull as the name suggests is when the customer becomes loyal and gets automatically pulled towards the product/ company. Push is used when loyalty towards a brand is less where as pull strategy is when loyalty is high. Push strategy uses sales force and lots of money whereas pull strategy uses advertisements to communicate whats new.
Public relations is when a company tries to understans people ouside and within the organisation. That is the employees and customers or any other entity which is linked to the company. The company needs to create a good image about itself in the hearts of the outsiders and those within the organisation to reach its goals.

Public may include staff, customers, business associates, suppliers, vendors, retailors and all those directly or indirectly attached to the company.
