How "green" should a company be that is pursuing a low-cost strategy in an increasingly environmentally conscious society? Explanation / Answer

I believe that each and every business should possess some social responsibilities and environmental responsibilities because that is how the environment will be safe and secure and will last long. Even if an organization is pursuing a low cost strategy they should be playing the basic role in order to be successful because the society is quite environmentally conscious.

Customers should not be charged extra for going green because it is the responsibility of the business to promote such a concept and there is no doubt that green is a viable or strategic differentiator in this industry which makes the organizations different and stand out in the crowd. It generally gives them a competitive advantage over the other competitors in the industry.
