We learned Maslow's hierarchy model of needs to understand why personal needs contribute to organizational effectiveness. In the hierarchy, there are low (physiological/security needs) and high levels (self-actualization/self-esteem) of needs. Given that most of contemporary organizations are pursuing flexibility and adaptability under highly dynamic environments, they are paying attention to high levels of employees' personal needs. Provide your rationale for why organizations pay attention to the high levels of personal needs rather than the low levels.

OrganiAtions today understand that employees are an integral part of the organization and like clients they are also an important stakeholder as well because the direct revenue that is generated is because of the employees and their contribution towards the organization. The organizations today understand what actually the employees need and how to fulfill that because a happy and satisfied employee is more effective and performance oriented as well. The physiological needs and the safety needs needs to be fulfilled on a priority basis and these needs include salary, benefits, healthy workplace, positive environment, financial security and personal security. Such needs are primary and the employees demand such needs and if these are not fulfilled, it would become difficult for the employees to sustain in an effective manner and hence that is the reason the organizations are trying to fulfill and take of such requirement at the earliest.

The other needs like love, self esteem, self actualization are also Important but that will take some time to develop and is also considered as lower priority at present hence importance is being given to the same.
