Question
1. You hired a group of five people to work in a department and did not provide job descriptions to anyone because you wanted to see what they naturally did well and struggled with before you created clear roles. At the end of the first month, three people resigned after developing great conflicts with each other and the remaining two came to you asking for assistance and clarity. Did your decision to structure the job in this fashion contribute to this result or did you simply have employees who were not up to the challenge? Explain your answer.
Explanation / Answer
When we do not give proper job descriptions , any employee will not be able to adjust with their colleagues as they clash over what to do and what not to do. There will be a confusion and they fight over easy jobs and leave tough ones. It is the way the job is structure that created this problem . The employees need to be informed their duties or atleast must have been informed about our plans on how we plan to do.
