A number of arguments explain the rise in compensation pack- ages, including market forces and competition for the few talented executives. Where do you draw the line? If you were offered an outrageous compensa- tion package to join a company that is laying off employees, declaring bankruptcy, and performing poorly overall, would you take it?

The factors that contribute to high compensation for CEO are as follows:

These types of decisions of excessive pay are bad for business, bad for our economy and bad for society which increases cost on business and pay inequality demotivates other employees. The success of a company should be due to everyone's contribution and not just the performance of the chief executive officer. And paying excessive salary to CEO make thyme feel that they received neither recognition nor any bonus-sharing.it does not promote the idea of team effort.

The factors which promote abuse, corruption, and destructive leadership are the expectation that leaders can behave outside the norm, they can disregard some rules, and they can take advantage for personal gain and can indulge in corruption

To prevent or eliminate abuse of power and corruption there should be proper training for leaders in this regard, there should be open communication thus reducing uncertainty and promoting clear message. All should be held accountable for their deeds.
