Question

In reference to the involvement of the testing team throughout the SDLC cycle, what would be expected from the testers at each stage of SDLC?

THIS QUESTION STEMS FROM ORIGINAL POSTING: The three main processes of quality management are, planning quality management, performing quality management and controlling quality. Planning quality management is the process of identifying the quality requirements and standards of a project and making sure that they are included in both the scope and design of the project. Performing quality management is the process of evaluating overall project performance to make sure relevant quality standards are being met throughout the project life cycle. Controlling quality is the process of both making sure that relevant quality standards are being met and identifying ways to improve overall quality.

Explanation / Answer

With the change in project development methodologies, the process of development and simultaneous testing has also transformed to quite an extent. Previously after the completion of designing and building, testing was conducted but at present with Agile and CICD, there is continuous testing and development takes place together side by side. For example the tester needs to be involved in planning and understand the requirements, defining phase and understand the objectives and as designing starts the process of testing also starts and ensure that each and every stage is quite effective and successful as well.
