Telecommuting or “teleworks” is the process where employees work electronically from a location that they choose. It is estimated that up to 40% of US companies practice telecommuting. As discussed in this chapter there are many pros and cons to this practice.
In a one to two page paper please discuss some of the advantages and disadvantages of telecommuting from both the employee and manager's perspective. Is this something that you would be interested in if your present employer offered? Should employees that telecommute be paid any differently?
