the above pugh matrix is derived as follows
according to the question the distance is given the first criteria followed by weight and cost and time the last criteria. the baseline is taken as desgn 1 and the rating is given by ocmparing design 1 and ther designs. Ahigher value more than baseline is given a score of 1 and lower value 0 and the next lower value is given -1. on calculation the design 3 has got the highest score and the optimal design that incurs less cost and less time and coveing 200 miles of distance.
