Now, suppose you were a design engineer that worked on the Ford Pinto, after hearing about the rear-end crash tests of early prototype, you go to the Chief Engineer and voice your concern over the design. You tell him if nothing is done, you will go the newspaper, he then tells you that he will do nothing to fix the problem, and that if you make your concerns public you will be immediately fired and he will see to it that you will never work for another automobile company. If your current salary at Ford is 100,000 a year and you have a house with a large mortgage, a wife/husband, and three children, with the oldest child starting college. What would you do? WHY?

When you believe that you have enough talent that you can see the design problems and make it correct why cant you go try and get job in another company?I would have showcased by talent to another company especially rival comapny to ford and point out the ford design flaws and get job anyway or other. This will make me satisfied that atleast making an atempt to correct the problem through other company.
