The Word Ethics is derived from the Greek Word ‘Ethos’ meaning character.

Ethics is the essence of values and habits of a person or group

It distinguish between right and wrong, good and evil and acting with responsibility.

“Ethics are the principles of conduct governing an individual or group”.

“Ethics are relating to what is good or bad, and having to do with moral duty and obligation”.

Distinction between Ethics and Morality

Moral relates to principles of right and wrong.

Absorbed by an individual gradually by taking reasonable decisions in appropriate situations

International Factors and Cross Cultural Considerations

Few Example: Saudi people used to give sacrificial goats before inaugural cenremony or in product launching, while this could be considered as wrong by Americans.

Paying gifts during the burial funtions in Mexico could be considered as unethical by people of other countries.
