3) What management style motivates you to do your best work?

Explanation / Answer

1) Good Manager Skills/traits . Examples

Management styles must be adapted to the type of task or work that the organization, coaching style is ideal for a group of people who are learning to do a job, the directing management style is more suited to vertical organizations such as the army or Catholic Church, while the delegative style is ideal in situations where the manager must deal with essentially strategic work, but there is much work routine to do related to it, which is appropriate to delegate, as in the case of industry artists the show.

However, I believe that in contexts where people work with highly committed to the organization and personnel trained for their work, the discusive style is best suited. It is the manager takes the place of a guide, to guide the work to consult with the team to make decisions and the implications of them. It will not indicate specifically that do, only through generating questions, harangues of motivation and all those dynamics that leave clear how important is the opinion of equipment for the manager, and that autonomy is granted as a reward for good work done.

2) Bad Manager. Harmful Behaviors/traits

Among the negative management styles, I consider the most harmful for the organization the intimidating style, because affects one of the essential foundations of all staff, which is trust. Leaders who base their ability to influence others in fear untie a large number of extremely dangerous dynamic for the proper exercise of its management function. One of them is the "isolation of the adverse information". When the team fears the boss often prevents hears anything that might displease to avoid a penalty, and if a manager does not know what is happening in the organization is limited to making good decisions.

Additionally, conflictive leaders promote mistrust and non-cooperation in the team, which is highly injurious to achieve organizational objectives which are usually the result of a joint effort.

3) What management style motivates you to do your best work

For me, the most motivating management style is the disscusive, because it implies that the boss shows you how much you value your opinion, your ability to solve problems, your expertise in the matter, in short, all the work that has led you to the position where you are now, and that reinforces much self-esteem, encourages you to take on new challenges and you more committed to the organization.
