a) Using the facts of the scenario presented in Exercise 12, Prepare a complaint on behalf of Mrs. Hatter, Also prepare a complaint on behalf of Foods Deluxe. Mrs. Hatter is a new client. While standing in the check-out line at the local grocery store, Foods Deluxe, the automated belt conveyer belt caught her sleeve as she was placing her groceries on the belt. Flustered by Mrs.Hatter’s scream for help, the clerk was temporarily unable to turn off the belt. By the time the belt was shut off by another customer,Mrs.Hatter’s shoulder was dislocated and she had fainted, cutting her head on the counter as she fell.Mrs.Hatter does not have health insurance or disability insurance. She has not been able to work and has used all of her savings to pay her medical bills. She is unlikely to have a complete recovery and may never again be able to resume her work as an artist.Mrs. Hatter is also very upset about the loss of her one good outfit which was torn in the accident.
Explanation / Answer
The incident which happened with the lady was unfortunate and the customer has the full right to sue the retailer as a customer if one enters the premises of the retailer he has the full responsibility to take care of the customers once this happened when the escalator operator was not present it is the fault of the retailer and can be sued in the court of law for his missdoings. As this case relates to the lady who is new to the retailer and is doing the shopping from their first time its a sad incident and punisable under the law. Stating a Detailed complaint narrating the incident in the following format can be submitted.

I Mrs Hatter who had come for shopping at your retail outlet yesterday and unfortunately my dress got stuck in the escalator during that time their was no staff nor the employee was present and the escalator belt was running. none of your staff switched off the escalator due to which a major incident happened with me where i felt down and hand body part was dislocated and their was a severe head injury also.
In Lieu of the above incident i am suing the company and the retail outlet for the mismanagement and playing around with the customers safety you are requested to reply back. My outfit has been also spoilt and have spent large portion of my salary in treating myself. I am putting a legal case in the court.
