What is your opinion of alcohol and tobacco advertising? Should alcohol and tobacco companies have the same freedom to advertise as other product manufacturers? I feel alcohol and tobacco advertising should be curbed on a minimum possible level by the government and regulatory agencies. While personal freedom of choosing the product and consumption is justified but government also has responsibility towards its citizens by safer health practices.
Exposing children and teenagers to alcohol and tobacco advertisements will definitely influence their desire to use the products which are harmful for their health and cognitive well being.Also, restraining the alcohol and tobacco advertising will be better for the society because of lower risk of children/teens committing any crimes under the influence of these products.
