which is more ethically problematic: attacking a former employer via online discussion or making the same attack by e.mailing current employees?
Explanation / Answer
While any issues with a former employee should have been addressed while still employed there, it is definitely more ethically problematic to be attacking a former employer via online discussion.
Attacking via online discussion is like washing ones dirty linen in public. In many cases, the employer may not even be aware that a former employee is resorting to such steps. It serves no purpose and leaves an unnecessary bad taste in the mouth. It is clearly a case of public spewing of sensitive information.
When the same attack is made by emailing current employees, there is at least some chance that grievances of the same nature will be addressed going forward. Also, it will be tackled within the organization, as it should be.
