1. The statement is "true". The reason why older workers resist change more than the younger workers is the fact that resistance to change occurs due to fear, habit, future uncertainty. Now older employees have being doing things out of habit for a longer duration of time when compared to the younger employees. The older employees have thus become accustomed in doing things in a certain way and thus they tend to resist change more vehemently.
