1.Major competencies for QSEN are 1. Pre-licensure, graduate quality and safety competencies.

Pre Licensure: It is regarding knowledge, skills and attitude for the particular kind of nursing job.Quality of education will gain to attain sustainable goals and objective. Thus practice plus theoretical knowledge can be gathered in graduation level. Safety is a very decisive factor a nursing profession. Safety to patients an awareness of safety precautions to be taken are very important.

Safety: Some nurses are not much conscious on safety aspects like applying antiseptic lotions before taking injections to avoid chances of diseases. At the same time some are very conscious in doing all such activities.

Graduate level competencies: Quality improvement programs that I have seen in nursing colleges, their team collaboration works( service camp and medical camps), patient centered care (through practical studies during graduate level) helps in attaining this competency:

Pre-licensure: Awareness and interest shown y many nursing students in their education time and their initiatives in starting many healthcare and awareness progras( blood donation, awareness of cancer) in colleges shown their competencies.
