Assuming that gasoline prices remain on average at $3/gallon, while charging the electrical car costs on average $5/charge. Ignoring the time value of money, maintenance cost, and resale value, answer the following:
a) How much is the total cost for each option in the first year given the amount of driving you are expected to make
b) Assuming all of the given numbers remain the same over the years, how many years are you expected to drive before both options break even

a) Cost for regular car in a year:
In each weak kms driven= 25*5= 125 kms
Cost for these 125 kms in 1 week= (125/27)*3
Cost for these 125 kms in 50 week= (125/27)*3*50= 2083.33 $
For electric car:
In each weak kms driven= 25*5= 125 kms
Cost for these 125 kms in 1 week= (125/100)*5
Cost for these 125 kms in 50 week= (125/100)*5*50= 312.50 $
b) This cannot be calculated as cost of buying these cars is not given and are they earning any revenues from driving these cars.
