The Partnership with Topshop fashions fit into Nordstrom’s current brand strategy. In other words, the company is installing diversity for the United States retailer with speed.
Nordstrom’s has been running behind with their brands. The older consumer simply purchase regular brand of clothing like men’s and women’s. The speed is normally with no pick up. All in all, there was no turnaround for sales during the business hours.
As a result, the British fashion chain Topshop steps into Nordstrom’s with a boost. It was focused with the younger generation of men and women. In addition, this line of clothing can give the company a huge turnaround and attract to different markets. Clifford (2012, Jul. 13) mentions “retailers like Target and Neiman Marcus are joining the twenty-four designers from Christratine including Carolina Herrera and Derek Ham”. The goal is to bring young shoppers with a reasonable price to purchase.
This change will allow Nordstrom’s to diverse itself from the competition. Other retail chains like J.C. Penney are going through the similar route to attract the younger generation. Topshop clothing is very attractive in the United Kingdom so it can bring it to Nordstrom’s.
I think the risk is very good for Nordstrom’s to do business with Topshop although its sales have been down. In the long run, both of the companies can combine their weakness into strength as one. As a result, Nordstrom’s has increased their sales volume and became stronger in retail.
In conclusion, the partnership with Topshop fashions fit into Nordstrom’s current brand strategy. My point of view is the United Kingdom fashion company with their sluggish sales, is giving strength to Nordstrom’s to increase their sales in the retail industry. In other words, the company will have a major plus in retail sales.

As per my understanding of the narration, the conclusion arrived at or mentioned is " the United Kingdom fashion company with their sluggish sales is giving strength to Nordstrom's to increase their sales in the retail industry."
At the same time I find that on the part of Topshop to focus on young one's retail market at attractive prices , is a good strategy. I hope the joint venture between Nordstrom and Topshop not only take care of their weeknesses but also will result in having the synegy effect of their pooled strengths to exploit the opportunities and may be also to counter the threats from competitors like J.C. Penney. As a partner, Topshop may also get their share of success of Partnership in terms of diversified markets.
