Since last 40 years the lifestyle of people changes a lot. There is a lot of competetion in companies as well as in society. Everyone wants to live a comfortable life which leads to competition among them. To gain a luxurious life everybody is working harder and harder day by day.
Supermarkets, fast food restaurants, or convenience stores are providing readymade food which is again become a part of luxurious life. Afterall everyone want comfort. So after a hard day people are relaying on this things for food.
Liquor consumption and smoking became status symbol as well as things like cake, fast food etc were consumed more than previous time. So they were also contributing in obesity.
More concentration on working, people are spending time in enjoying. So the life style of Americans does not allow them to exercise as they have not much time for that.
