Question

Interpret ALL of the attached spectra assigning peaks to the relevant structural feature responsible for that peak. The following information also should be discussed in your analysis of the spectra: IH NMR: Chemical shifts Number of different proton environments Splitting patterns Integration 13 NMR: Chemical shifts Number of different carbon environments DEPT: The importance of peaks IR: Presence or absence of functional groups Parent peak and the molecular weight of he compound How you determined the molecular formula Neatly organize your data (tables are nice!). This compound only contains C, H, and o The numbers next to the integration of the iH NMR represent relative integral values

Explanation / Answer

since i am only given with IR and Mass spectra i will only analyse that

(A) IR Spectra

the data is not very clear, but a broad peak at around 3400- 3500 cm-1 signifies OH a i can't interpret the data its not clear
