How will this error affect the calculated mass percent (will the resulting calculated mass percent be too high, too low or unaffected)?
Too high. Grams would be reported too high. As grams of sucrose increases, so does the mass percent of sucrose.
Too low. Since some of the sucrose is left on the balance, less mass is used in the solution. As grams of sucrose decreases, so does mass percent of sucrose.
