Explain in one sentence how you determined vmax. bccurc w to low c. Kur for the enzyme is A d. Explain in one sentence how you determined KM e. Total enzyme-Explanation / Answer
Ans 1.
a) The free energy associated with the reaction is difference of free energy of reactants from that of products.
The enzyme will not change the standard free energy of the reaction . As the energy is independent of the enzyme concentration .
b) The enzyme decreases the activation energy of the reaction , so that more number of reactants can cross the energy barrier and get converted into products .
c) The enzyme helps to convert more number of reactants into products , hence this increases the initial velocity of the reaction as more amount of product is formed.
d) equillibrium constant of the reaction K is given as
K = [products] / [reactants]
Hence it is not dependent on the concentration of enzyme.
