Explanation / Answer

For the first part:
Reactions are taking place that involve a metal (Mg) and various acids. The strength of the acid lowers as the list goes on. Taking as an example the first reaction:

Mg + H2SO4 ---> MgSO4 + H2
You must observe that hydrogen is being released, so bubbles must be observed when the reaction takes place. As the list goes on, the amount of bubbles will reduce, because the acids become weaker. Also a salt must be produced, which will also be more noticeable first and less as the list goes on.
