So the mass of ethyl alcohol in the solution will be 50 g.
and the water will be 50 g
Number of moles of ethyl alcohol = 50 / 46.07 = 1.085
Number of moles of water = 50 / 18.016 = 2.775
Mole fraction of ethyl alcohol = moles of alcohol / total no. of moles
= 1.085 / ( 1.085 + 2.775)
= 0.281
