helps please. The information required above!!
Name: Date: Score: 125 Answer the following questions: 1. Did your resulting AH values match the literature values (accuracy)? Did they match each other (precision)? If one is better than the other discuss how it is possible to achieve one in the absence of the other. Be sure to support your claims with calculated data that assess accuracy and precision. 2. If you made a minor mistake in making the 2.0 M HCI, how would it affect your results? Is it important that the concentration of HCl is exactly 2.0 M, or the volume used is exactly 10.0 mL? Will the heat of reaction measured be the same for slightly different concentrations? Explain why or why not. 3. One error present in the lab procedure is that, prior to lab, your original magnesium ribbon reacted with oxygen to produce a thin MgO coating on its surface. How will this affect the enthalpy change measured for the reaction of Mg and HCl? How could the procedure be amended to work around this lab difficulty?Explanation / Answer
2. when >2M HCl solution was formed instead of 2M HCl solution then the Heat of te reaction slightly increases because when concetration increases then number of moles increases which leads to increase in number of fruitfull collisions. Remember that heat of reaction is calculated per mole. so if number of moles increases then heat of reaction increases and if number of moles decreases then heat of reaction decreases.
