If all the bags are placed in a 0.8 M sucrose solution instead of distilled water, then the mass of 0.2, 0.4, 0.6 M bags would be decreased due to hypertonic effect. This is because the solute concertation is more in outside than the bag. So, the water inside the bag moves toward the outer solution.
The mass of 0.8 M bag remains constant, which is because both bag and outer solution has same concentration. So, movement of solute does not take place and it is called isotonic condition.
The mass of 1.0 M bag increases, which is due to hypnotic effect. The water moves from outer solution to inside the bag.
