Explanation / Answer
Frequent Loose stool that lasts for atleast 4 weeks is chronic diarrhea.some sugar, alcohol, caffeine causes this.it goes away normally within 48hrs without medication.Effects of chronic diarrhea=abdominal pain, cramping, nausea, bloating, fever, vomiting, electrolyte imbalance, dehydration
Medicines upset the normal bacteria balance in the gut,it causes frequent watery bowel movement.
physical nursing diagnosis:The patient should asses softly, know the problem, asses attentively, know the energy level of them. psychosocial nursing diagnosis is low self esteem nd chronic sorrow.
relief from chronic diarrhea is a realistic goal .it may be of diff causes like malabsorption, realistic(infective) -so diarrhoea will go away, treatment of parasitic infection will go away with medication, endocrinal disorder may response to quickly to medication, hence not a realistic goal.
