Explanation / Answer

The two types of glycosidic bonds are alpha 1---->4 glycosidic linkages and alpha 1----->6 glycosidic linkages. The alpha 1--------->4 glycosidic linkages are digested by alpha amylase secreted by salivary glands and pancreas. The alpha 1--------->6 glycosidic linkages are digested by gamma amylase (or glucan 1--->4 alpha glucosidase) secreted by brush border epithelium of small intestine.
