Osmoregulation in shark in marine environment: Salt diffuses inside the body from sea water and salts are removed from kidneys, rectal gland or through faeces. Due to presence of urea and trimethylamineoxide (TMAO) the osmotic loss of salts is not continuous and corresponds to high osmolarity compared to seawater.
