Answer to Q1: Internet basically connects many computers. Internet is bigger than Intranet.
Internet refers to the hardware parts like inter connected systems, desk top, lap tops, Ethernet cards, LAN Cables, Wireless WIFI networks or any hard ware set up that will give you access to the world wide web.
World wide web refers to the Software parts like web pages, web sites, home pages, web portals, domains, sub domain, emails like gmail, hotmail, rediff,MS Outlook, IBM’s Lotus Notes, chat engines like yahoo chat, Microsoft MSN Messenger, Social networking web sites like Face book, Orkut, twitter, Whats App, Skype etc.
In simple terms, Internet is the hardware foundation on which the software of Web works. With out connecting your internet through your internet service providers , you can not enjoy the web services like face book, emails, skype etc.
Rules part:
TCP /IP means Transmission Control Protocol Internet Protocol – It has 7 layers – this is the governing authority to rule over the internet. They control data transfer rates like pockets per second etc. There are internet service plans like
Legends: MBPS = Mega Bits Per Second ( Unit of measuring data transfer speed )
GB = Giga Byte (Unit of measuring data size or volume)
But the web is governed by HTTP Hyper Text Transfer Protocol.
