In particular, the system performs monitoring functions for many elements of an onboard command and control system. Like many other systems, this system continuous to be evolved and they are many interactions with various systems. The requirement specification of this system spans hundreds of pages and they are packaged in different volumes with many versions.

Which VVT activities would you recommend to Company XYZ during the development phase of this system? Provide your rationale.

Explanation / Answer

VVT i.e Verification, Validation and testing of the large complex systems. It will involve writing appropriate test to check the working of the system in a multi-system environments. The specification should be broken down into smaller sub components which then should be validated and verified at block level first depending upon the execution strategy. After the testing is completed on block level it should be intergrated and then tested on top level as this is a massive component and since development is happening in stages we should follow the same.
