• The IR spectrum shows a double-humped strong absorbance ataround 3300 cm–1 (the only absorbance in thefunctional group region) and a single absorbance at about 1385cm–1.

I'm having trouble with this one. I know the compoundcontains a NH2 group but I'm having trouble finding thenext piece of it so any help would be appreciated! The MS shows a molecular ion at 59 amu. From the mass we can identify the presence of nitrogen and as youhave said presence of -NH2 can be identified by the bands in IRspectra so from the given data above i think the compound isproylamine. CH3-CH2-CH2-NH2 hope this helps
