given initial concentrations.. 0.1 mol NO, 0.05 mol H2 and 0.1 mol H2O given equilibrium concentrations.. 0.062M NO and I L vessel = 0.062 moles hence no of moles of NO reacted = 0.1-0.062 = 0.038 moles, now with regard to the given balanced chemical equation.. => no. of moles of H2 reacted = 0.038 moles.. => no. of moles of H2 left = 0.05 - 0.038 = 0.012 moles and no. of moles of N2 formed = 0.038/2 = 0.019 moles and no. of moles of H2O formed = 0.038 moles Total H2O at equilibrium = 0.1+0.038 = 0.138 moles concentrations at equilibrium.. NO = 0.062 moles H2 = 0.012 moles N2 = 0.019 moles H2O = 0.138 moles .. and yes.. the ICE table is based on the same principle as i have solved the above question.
