Natural Hazards are the effect of naturally happening processes which have activated throughout the past.  Geologic processes affect all human at every time, but it is most obvious when they cause loss of life or belongings. Major natural hazards are Earthquakes, Volcanic Eruptions, Tsunami, Landslides, Floods, Droughts, and Hurricanes.

These hazards can be divided into rapid onset hazards and slow onset hazards. Rapid onset hazards like Volcanic Eruptions, Earthquakes, Flash floods, Landslides, Severe Thunderstorms, Lightening, and wildfires, which develop with only very little indication and it hit quickly. The Slow onset hazards such as drought, insect infestations, and disease epidemics take many times to expand.

Natural Hazards can have primary, secondary, and tertiary effects.
