Dear representive Smith,
As an advocate of American Public Health Association, I am writing to urge to ensure any legistation in order to reform our area's public health system.
Due to changing weather the swine flue cases are rising. Outbreak of swine flue cases in various parts are reported. The number of patients are increasing day by day. But the hospitals lack the sufficient beds, medicines and other facilities to cure the patients.
Since federal agencies provide much of the funding for state and local public health programmes but unfortunately many of these agencies are not provided sufficient funding to acheive their goals and protect the health of the public. It should include universal coverage of health care facilites like easy availablity of medicines, provision of more beds and facilities in hospitals, immunization programmes, emergency preparedness and response, community health centers, survellience and monitoring the health of the people, worker health and safety, training and education of health professionals. Prevention in the first place must be emphasised more rather than cure after a person gets sick.
Please contact to let me know when you are free to meet. I will follow you up by the next week through phone. Thank you for considering my request
Sincerely
