Question
Application 2: This question is very much part of the debates about globalization, because the reason Global Warming is happening is based on the Liberal industrialization model, and the desire for industrialization coupled with all those extra people in poverty spells calamity in the near future, mostly for all those poor people in those countries that want to industrialize. Why is that? Why does a hotter world make this discussion even more important? That is, what have you learned so far from Flannery that tells us why global warming will harm people in the poor countries the most?
Explanation / Answer
Today world is divided bipolarly between developed nations and developing nations. These developing countries are experiencing illitearcy ,malnutrition and poverty .These countries also have to focus on path to get along developed nations through industrialization.Manufacturing and exporting to world makes economy of country stronger but with this industrialisation comes the problem of carbon emission and global warming. These countries have to follow liberal industrialization to grow but they are doing at cost of environmental degradation.
Earth is heating up rapidly due to globa warming. This increase of temperature poses threat of melting of glaciers and increase of sea level ultimately posing threat of submerging of many countries .
Global warming will affect people in poor countries most as these counntries are ignoring deforestation and other carbon emissions that will disbalance their climate and finally reduces agricultural produce on which most of population depends on.
